It’s time for another Wonderful Wednesday challenge with Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

Today I have made an Easel Notecard Holder featuring one of the stamps from the stamp set “OFF WE GO”.  You can find the tutorial by Tracy Penney here on the Krafty blog!

I’ve used the Spellbinder Oval dies and Floral Ovals, Simon Says Stamp Large and Small Heart Doily Dies and a very old die by Cuttlebug for the Bear and Duck.  The designer paper is from the Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine paper pad.  Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

There’s a new challenge over at the Kraftin’ Kimmie Blog and the theme is “Black and White”.  I’ve used one of the stamps from the ‘Canine Capers 1’ stamp set.

What a perfect stamp for this week’s challenge!  I decided my little doggie was going to be girly so I gave her collar some crystal/diamond bling!!  I used the Spellbinder’s Wonky Dies to layer the image.  Other supplies used are; Maya Road Love Speech Bubble Clip, Freckled Fawn Telephone Wire Washi tape and Simon Says Stamp Black Pearls.

Best Of Friends!

I am a huge fan of Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps and when I saw this stamp set I knew I had to have it!!  This stamp set is called “Squishy Hugs”.  It comes with three stamps and a whole bunch of sentiments!

So, now it’s confession time….I decided to try for the first time the ‘no lines’ technique.  Well, I wasn’t exactly pleased with it…..I had my card all finished but when I took some pictures you could see all my missteps!  I think I really need to practice that technique a lot more. So, I colored the image again and I cut it out and pasted the girls to the card. So, now I just noticed that there is a few places where a tiny bit of white shows up from where I didn’t cut quite close enough…..I’m calling them highlights!

I crocheted my flower and added a brad for the center.  The flower was crocheted using a very tiny hook and embroidery floss.  It usually takes one whole skein.  I believe this one was done using three strands instead of the six.  I had completely forgotten that I had done a whole bunch of these ages ago and found them when I was looking for something else….that always happens!  The doily is a die from Cheery Lynn, the butterflies and leaves are punches by Martha Stewart and my designer papers are just left overs I had hanging around!

My card today uses one of the stamps from the “Playtime Lulu” stamp set.  Such a fun set for any girly occasion!  The designer papers are an accumulation of leftovers from various paper pads.  I’ve also used the Spellbinders Decorative Eight Labels and Tag dies.  The sweet heart charm is by Charmalong.  The swirl is a Sizzix die and the flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.  The sentiment is one of four included in the set. KRAFTIN' KIMMIE STAMPS RELEASE DAY HOP!

My hop card today features one of the "sassy" ladies from the "A Bit Smart Assy" rubber stamp set.  Such a fun set to work with!  I just got the new spellbinder Oval Floral dies and just had to use it for this card!  I fussy the cut the image and layered her several times using both the Oval Floral and Oval dies by Spellbinders.  Behind the image is a tag made with Build A Tag Two by Spellbinders.  Designer papers are from the Echo Park - Summer Days and Basic Grey - Fresh Cuts paper pads.  I found that gorgeous ribbon at Wal-Mart...can you believe it!!  Other supplies used were Wild Orchid Craft flowers and MS leaf and branch punches.  Have fun Hoppin!!
 

KKS APRIL SNEAK PEEKS - DAY FOUR

Hey everyone!! Welcome back to day FOUR of our APRIL Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! Have you been enjoying the peeks so far?? All of our brand new rubber stamp sets will be released TONIGHT!
Today we are SO thrilled to share this fabulous set of SASSY LADIES by artist Emilie Goulet! This new rubber stamp set is perfect for so many of my girlfriends....and yours too, I bet!!! For my sneak peek today I decided to make a "Recipe Card' card.  The designer paper is from the Basic Grey Paper Cottage paper pad.  It was a perfect match for this stamp.  The rolling pin, measuring cup and little heart are part of the Paper Cottage theme!  I fussy cut the image out and layered her using the oval and scalloped dies by Spellbinders.  Other supplies used are a large border punch by MS and flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts.  I sewed the layers together to make the pouch for the recipe card.  You could use tape or glue but I thought the sewing was more sturdy and looked prettier!

KKS APRIL SNEAK PEEKS - DAY THREE

Hey everyone!! Welcome back to day THREE of our APRIL Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! Have you been enjoying the peeks so far?? So much fun!!...

We are super excited to have another amazingly fun set from artist, Cheryl Grant!!! Of course it features our favourite kids....Lulu, Lexi and Lucas!! This one's called SWEET BIRTHDAY KIDS!

This fabby set is all about celebrating, making wishes, friends and having fun, no matter what age you happen to be!! It features THREE sweet images plus SEVEN coordinating sentiments and it's also such great timing that Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps just got the new Birthday Wishes - Boy and Girl paper pads by Echo Park!!!

I hope you can join us for all the fun and excitement and prizes at our LIVE ONLINE RELEASE PARTY!! Come join us on Saturday night beginning at 6pm EST!! So for today's Sneak Peek I have made a "Peek-a-Boo" card.  I found the tutorial online and am including the link for anyone who would love to try to make one!  The designer papers I've used are from the Echo Park Summer Days paper pad.  The Butterfly and Crisp Bow are dies from Memory Box.  The Tag and aperture in the card are dies by Spellbinder and corner dies are by Cuttlebug.  When you open the card the image is replaced with another and for mine I used another of the stamps from the set.

On the inside of the card I have another die by Spellbinders and the balloons are a die by Simon Says Stamps.  The designer paper for the inside is just some I had leftover from other projects.  Here is another picture where you can see the images changing.  It's very hard to take still pictures of this card because it doesn't really show you how the card works!

KKS APRIL SNEAK PEEKS - DAY ONE

Hi and welcome to day ONE of our April Kraftin' Kimmie Peeks!!! We've got SO many goodies in store for you this month so let's get started!!!

First, let's kick things off with a stamp set you may have already seen!! If you weren't lucky enough to scoop up one of our fantastic Limited Edition Krafty Kard Kits last month which featured this new stamp set, you'll be happy to know that we will be releasing I {HEART} COFFEE! with all our other new stamp sets this weekend!!!

The image is from artist Emilie Goulet and it comes with THREE witty sentiments!! We've been having a blast creating with it and don't miss the new coffee embellishments we've just added to the krafty shop, as well as the fabulous paper pad Spring Blossom by Kaisercraft that was included in the kit with specialty papers and die cuts!

My card today is a "Gate Fold Card".  I love how the image peaks out through the die cut opening in the front of the card.

 

The designer papers are the ones that were included in the exclusive card kit....they're gorgeous!!  Here are a few more pictures showing the card closed and completely opened.  In my hast to get this posted I forgot to give the link to where I found the tutorial for this type of gate fold card!  You can find the tutorial here.

Birthday Magic!

Today I am using a gorgeous image called “Wiz”.  This is an image from Mo’s Digital Pencil.  The layout for the card is a sketch from I {heart} Sketches.  I had a lot of fun coloring this image using Copics.  I added a bit of glitter on the ball and the moon using the Wink Of Stella clear glitter pen.  The designer papers are leftovers from previous projects.  The butterfly is a MS punch and I added a rectangular gem stone for the body.  The sentiment comes with the digital image.  I think I found the stars a while ago at the dollar store!

I’ve also used the April sketch for the layout and starting point for my card.  The designer papers are from the Echo Park Happy Days paper pad.  I’ve used Spellbinder and Simon Says Stamps dies on the outside of my card.  Now for the inside of my card, which is the theme for this weeks challenge.

This sentiment is part of the “Hello, Friend” stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment with versa mark ink and then used white embossing powder.  I was going for the chalk board look!  Again other dies used are; Cuttlebug Corner Dies, Spellbinder round dies and Simon Says Stamps Mod Window Die.  So there you have it!  I hope you can join us again this week!

I’m a convert when it comes to cards focusing on the Sentiments!  It’s quick and sometimes you just don’t have the time or even feel like coloring up an image!  This sentiment is from the March release “Rain Or Shine” stamp set.  This set comes with ten large sentiments.

The sentiment is mounted and framed using the Spellbinders round dies and the doily is a die by Cheery Lynn designs.  The designer papers are left overs from previous projects.  I’ve also used the branch and border punches by Martha Stewart and my favourite embellishments to add to my cards are flowers and these are from Wild Orchid Crafts.
